IT-RO ROTAZIONALE

SHAPING IDEAD

The entrepreneurial journey of Rotodea began over ten years ago around the idea of providing…

Rotational Moulding

Hollow body made in one piece with no welding lines or joints, relatively low-cost moulds, relatively short mould-making times, producing short runs at competitive prices and printing different product types simultaneously on the same machine - relative ease of co-moulding inserts within the part.

The main advantages of rotational moulding

Sectors

Rotodea manufactures products that find application in the following sectors: automotive components, toys, pleasure boats, furniture, street furniture, lighting and highly aesthetic point-of-sale products.

Moulding

For Rotational Moulding we use horizontal rotating units called carousels, equipped with three mould-holding arms that automatically pass through the various work stations: loading of the polymer into the mould, baking, cooling, extraction of the finished product. For heating (baking) we use the forced hot air system: clean, cheaper, safer.

Process

The material, generally in powder form, is loaded into the mould and rotated simultaneously on two perpendicular axes within the furnace. During the heating phase, the powder gradually becomes fluid, so that it reaches every point on the inner surface of the mould. this produces a thickness that will become solid in the subsequent cooling phase.

Painting

Rotodea specialises in the painting of any product it manufactures: from metallic paints for plastic to 'ecological' paints obtained in an artisanal-industrial manner. Our goal is to achieve what you want. For plastic coating, we use liquid paints, as plastics are more susceptible to this. Particularly suitable for metal and plastic surfaces, liquid painting has no limits in terms of tints and colours and is therefore suitable for the most varied applications.

Rotational moulding

Rotational moulding has technical characteristics that make it a key player in the production of small batches and large hollow bodies. Widespread throughout the world with strong growth rates, it is particularly appreciated by planners and designers.
Technology
Rotational moulding is a technological process that makes it possible to produce hollow objects with a constant thickness without any welding points.
